Baseball Camp in Whitefish, Montana

Musician. Songwriter. Entertainer. Funny man. Pancake maker. Lawn mower. John Dunnigan is all of these and more - including a baseball fan. John has been a baseball coach for many years, and baseball season is right around the corner. Tomorrow John will be joined on the Big Fish by Josh Fields and Jarod Grubb. Josh Fields is a player for the Chicago White Sox, and Jarod Grubb is the head coach for the Glacier Twins AA team, and also an associate scout for the Boston Red Sox. They will be discussing the upcoming Baseball Camp in Kalispell, Montana. It will be held at the Kalispell Athletic Club Tennis Bubble in Kalispell, Montana. The camp will focus on hitting, pitching, and fielding instruction.

Camp Time: Saturday, February 24th from 9:30 to 12:30
Sunday, February 25th from 9:30 to 12:30

Ages 13-15+

Camp Time: Saturday, February 24th from 1 to 4 PM
Sunday, February 25th from 4 to 7 PM

The Alliance for Youth has given the community of Whitefish, Montana the honor of being one of the 100 Best Communities in America for Young People! In partnership with Capital One, the 100 Best honors communities - ranging from small towns to urban neighborhoods across the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands - for their commitment to provide healthy, safe and caring environments for young people!

The 2007 selection for the 100 Best began in September of 2006. Whitefish and other recipients applied for recognition and were chosen by a panel of civic, business and nonprofit leaders, including United Way of America President Brian Gallagher, US Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue, NBC News Washington Bureau Chief and Moderator of Meet the Press Tim Russert, CEO of Cities' President and CEO Carol Coleta and former Denver, Colorado Mayor Wellington Webb.

The selection panel evaluated for the 100 Best on entries requiring detailed information about each community's efforts to fulfill the Five (5) Promises - fundamental resources that children and youth need to succeed, caring adults who are actively involved in their lives, safe places in which to learn and grow, a healthy start toward adulthood, an effective education that builds marketing skills, and opportunities to help others!
