Silver Arrow Award
Jeny Running Brook Covill recently received the Spirit Wind Records Silver Arrow Award for Outstanding Contribution To Native American Radio. This award is one of several Silver Arrow Awards given each year by Spirit Wind Records, which has been reaching out to Native Music Artists for 11 years. The Silver Arrow Award Program was founded by Donald Blackfox and includes the Board of Directors of Spirit Wind Records. Winners are selected for outstanding contribution through Native American Music and represent many different record labels and styles.

Whitefish, MT, November 23, 2010: The team of JUNGLE JACK’S ZOONIACS internet radio show is returning to the Calgary Zoo December 3rd to record new winter shows and shoot a promotional video with a film crew. The radio program will investigate how zoo animals, particularly those indigenous to warmer climates, are cared for during the winter months in Canada.
The “Jack” in JUNGLE JACK’S ZOONIACS is world renowned animal expert Jack Hanna. This “kid friendly”program is hosted by Rmi Strauser and Jeffrey Hyer, and includes Myah Strauser as MC. The “kid-tastic” personalities Rmi, 13 and Jeffrey, 11 are the youngest radio hosts in the Northwest.On each show Jack Hanna shares his knowledge of animals with the hosts. Every 30-45 minute monthly program is packed with adventurous zoo tours and interviews, fun animal facts, interesting trivia, music, jokes and more. This past summer, the trio was on assignment at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington and Montana’s Glacier National Park.
Jeffrey is a passionate animal lover who creates extensive model zoos as a hobby, and said, “I am very excited to return to the Calgary Zoo. I have been to a lot of zoos and it is one of my favorites. The International awards show will be broadcast live from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Friday, November 5th on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, Canada’s fourth largest National Broadcast Network.

Jeny co-founded All Nations Fellowship, A Native style Christian church gathering, where she is a pastor. She is also a volunteer chaplain at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, MT. Covill resides in Montana with her husband and two children.
